Tell Yourself the Truth
Your thoughts are incredibly powerful. It is about time that you start "thinking about what you are thinking about" ! Are your thoughts based on truths or lies? Proverbs 23:7 says, "As a man thinks in his heart, so is he."
If you are continually thinking negative thoughts, self-defeating thoughts, thoughts of self-har, you will begin to act them out. This has far reaching affects on every area of your life. It starts in your heart! What you think will always affect the way you look act and live out your life.
Be encouraged! The Bible says that we can take our thoughts captive ( 2 Corinthians 10:5). That means that we can control our thinking instead of it controlling us by replacing lie based thinking with truth. This may be difficult at first because of the lies that you have believed for so long for example, When you begin to hear in your head that you are worthless or stupid you need to replace it with the truth from God where He says that you are fearfully and wonderfully made( Psalm 139:14).
God wants to help you. Jeremiah 33:3 says, "Call to me and I will answer you .I will show you marvelous and wondrous things that you could never figure out on your own."
God has already paid the price for your sin. He sees your pain and already bore that on the cross. If you were the only person on this earth God would have still sent Jesus to die for you. Jesus came to set you free from guilt and condemnation and give you a new abundant life of joy and peace.
